Weaving of handtufted rugs :
Bhadohi-mirzapur is one belt where the carpets weaved can be any design, take it contemporary, or modern, or persian or traditional. this is the main strength of this area to get the carpets and rugs weaved in your design.
Quality :
When we talk for the quality we have noticed that our belt specifically mirzapur have more quality hand-tufted carpets and rugs as compared to bhadohi. This is my personal opinion as we have our contractors in both the area i.e. mirzapur as well as bhadohi, but the intensity which mirzapur weaver has is better than bhadohi...
It is very important to note that the hand-tufted carpets or other types of rugs for majilis has to be taken very well care while manufacturing the same.
Its not easy like normal size hand-tufted rugs. Being these made in high quality one has to be very careful while using the kind of canvas cloth, the weaving of big size rugs and the finishing...
The weaving of hand-tufted rugs for majilis has to be tight and finishing to be smooth, with carving effect, if required.
What you mean by hand tufted wool rugs? These are rugs which are manufactured with weaving technique called handtufted and pile material being used as WOOL.
Wool in self is very wide term. You may see the details which says 100% wool rugs. This means that the woollen yarn should have 100 woolen fiber without nylon or any other mix.
For handtufted rugs these wool or even blended wool are considered to be best because the construction of hand tufted, the look comes great in case when we use the wool as pile material as compared to polyester or acrylic.

Hand tufted carpet and rugs are one of the most demanding
floor coverings in world and varies widely in design, color, and quality. These
passes through wide manufacturing process making them look beautiful.
How hand tufted carpets and rugs are manufactured ?
We understand that this kind is in demand and is increasing
but the consumer wish to know as to how we manufacture them? Keeping in view of
the density of rug weaving requirements a plain-woven cotton canvas is
stretched over a frame. A design is then placed with the help of indigo on stencil, so that it comes
clearly on the canvas and then hand tufting is then done to insert the face
yarns with the help of the map which have colours filled in the design.
When this tufting is done, it is verified by the quality
controller whether everything is weaved in proper way or not, whether all the
colours used are properly placed or not. Then, the rug is removed from the
frame and placed pile-side down on the floor.
To ensure that the pile doesn’t come a coating of latex is
applied along with cotton mesh, and kept under sunlight to dry. After it is dried
properly secondary or final backing is then pasted with latex. If binding is
required the same is done, binding means the edges are then sewed or locked.

There are many cases where the demand of handmade rugs specially handtufted carpets are huge, I mean in bulk, and the client have very tight budget for the same.
The biggest question arises, as to how to manage the same? In this case only a direct manufacturer can give the best quotation, as he knows with very thin margin he can quote and provide the rugs in best rates.
Now the issue comes as to whether the rug will be in wool or in other material? It may be very strongly noted that the best yarn for any rug is wool. For budget projects for carpets and rugs we manufacture the same, with indian wool. This indian wool is of indian origin, unlike newzealand origin, but is good in all other manner.
The above never mean that we use cheap or low grade yarn. Every woolen yarn has its own identity, the indian wool we use is pure, and also made from fresh fiber, not with toppings, which many use.
I would also like to add one more thing that from top or say in first instance all rugs looks same, but gradually you wil come to know that the rug being purchased are not with good indian wool.

How does different qualities of carpets and rugs makes impact on the hotel and such other similar projects? To be very true mainly the quality of each rug is determined by the density per square meter, this means how dense the carpets and rugs are weaved.
Normally the weaving pattern is more or less same, the quality is more specifically defined with the pile the specific carpet has. Let's take an example to understand this better. One rug is 2500 gms per square meter, and pile height is 8mm approx. if this pile goes to 10mm, it will automatically be 2800-3000 gms per square meter. Because the weaving pattern is more or less same. This means as and when the pile of specific carpets and rugs are increased the quality will also increase, density will be more or less same.
There is also some variation where the woolen yarn is changed from 100 % new zealand to indian or blended wool. Newzealand wool is heavy as compared to other kind of yarns, similarly is case of viscose yarn, and presents the best quality newzealand wool carpets.
Its always the budget, how much a client have, which is the main tool to define which project should have which kind of rug.
More heavy quality carpets are admired and preferred for high areas like 5 star, high ends villas etc. This mean to give more cushioned look and feel. Quality above 3000 gms come under this case.
These are more of the ones which are made for projects. These projects may be of a hotel, villas, any resorts or any of the residential apartments. Even a bespoke or customised rugs and carpets are also being covered under this category.
These kind of contract rugs and carpets may be hand-tufted, hand-knotted or hand-woven, in wool, wool-viscose, wool-silk, linen or any other similar kind of yarn.

In case of HT-550, all details of above are same, only the pile
height and pile weight changes. In this case the height 11-12mm and the pile

Similarly HT-650, the

The reason to discuss the above chapter is the case where
there are projects where there is requirement of HANDTUFTED CARPETS. All these
codes i.e. 450, 550 and 650 measures the pile height which increases the
thickness and consumption of yarn per sq yard/per sq mtrs as the case may be.
For budgeted cases ht-450 is being offered, for very tight
budget we have also introduced HT-350, with pile of 6mm.

In view of increase in taste to have shinning look, or say silk and soft feel, the trend of demand of hand tufted rugs in viscose or say artificial silk yarn is going up.
But do you know that handtufted rugs made with viscose yarn is not appropriate? Do you know viscose yarn is very sensitive yarn and is allergic to water or any other kind of liquid?
By this we mean that if handtufted rugs made with use of viscose yarn for any area, mainly hospitality industry, its always better to opt for other kind, because the strength of viscose yarn gets low if get in contact with water etc.
This means in due course the life of hand tufted rugs made in viscose or art silk will be low.
Now the big question arises that if someone needs a handtufted rugs for any area with mix of silk look viscose etc, what they should do?
